Lamborghini Enters the World of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

After a number of social media posts that hint at it, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini has finally revealed its first NFT (non-fungible token) project. Space Key is being developed in collaboration with a non-disclosed artist and based on the latest carbon fiber composite materials that were shipped to the International Space Station as research material, is a new project which was announced by lamborghini centenario key.

The physical element is embossed with an NFT serial number, which is tied to the digital artwork with a QR code on the back.

The physical component of the Space Key

The digital artwork

It's called the Space Key, it consists of five items that unlock an exclusive digital art work NFT by the unidentified artist. The project was developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm), the "collector's work" is limited to just five units and will be auctioned off shortly.

At the heart of each Space Key is a block of carbon fire composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program. After returning to Earth the space key was stamped with a QR code that links it to the digital element of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that occurs at different times as the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Each of five images was shot by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner utilized a balloon with a camera that captured each of the individual shots which were then combined into the final image. The result is an out-of-this world photo that captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyper-realistic picture of the car rising from it. The Space Keys will be auctioned off in the near future, however the exact date and location of the event hasn't been announced yet.

The auction

The five NFTs can be bid on by registering online. Each NFT will be auctioned off separately and the winner will receive a digital artwork by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner that captures five different moments that the Space Key experienced during its flight in outer space.
