Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to celebrate the brand's centenary. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying "B" paperweight, a set keys and a brochure that features never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

It's the perfect present to introduce a new owner to their luxurious car.

Aesthetics

As a design-driven company, Bentley takes its aesthetics extremely seriously. It's evident in the precise placement of its quilting, the selection of leather from the by-products of cattle, wood from sustainably managed forests and the innovative patterns on its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you drive by with its striking sculptural appeal and power through carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top vehicle. The rear of the tonneau in the Continental GT, for instance, featured the largest piece of dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer that was book-matched. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

Bentley is the most sought-after car brand worldwide due to its unique design and craftsmanship. The company continues pushing boundaries with the latest technologies and craftsmanship. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear sunroof as well as a hand-crafted Apple iPad docking station.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, a century after it was established. The marque, now owned by Volkswagen independently following years of disputes with BMW and Volkswagen, had planned a series of special launches and events to mark this significant occasion. Design

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a bespoke specification called the Centenary Specification for cars that were built in 2019. The cabin is equipped with cross-stitching and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings on the headrests and seats are stitched in Centenary Gold, adding to the sense of celebration. A bespoke Bentley key case is included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key comes with two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and another that is used to start the vehicle. It also has a switch that can turn on the parking break. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parking in tight spots. This feature makes it easier to get in and out of your vehicle.

Each key takes about two days to create. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, stitched to seal, and polished to create a high-end result. It is lightweight and durable, and it fits the bentley replacement key key perfectly. It is also equipped with Secure-A-Key which can help prevent theft of keys that are keyless. Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division allows customers to design their car. Every time a choice is made the pattern that emerges reveals the model colors, style and color preferences for the personalized Bentley.

The guests receive an individual key case created by hand and containing the R.F.I.D. enabled key cards. The keys can be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the way of the opening door with the owner's logo or name as they approach the car.

Bentley estimates that it takes 500 man-hours on average to construct and assemble the Mulsanne. The key to this time-consuming effort is a conscious refusal to adopt the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers don't make use of a machine to create perfectly-matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. Instead of using the car's built-in sensors to guide it to parallel and perpendicular parking spots drivers must do it manually.

Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization skills with the release of a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to William Osler, the founder of Bentley. Edition, which pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars come with a key that displays the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
