The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as other models do to locate your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the click of a button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for best automatic Vacuum mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a problem for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and then moves forward.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something needs attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even vacuum robot mop up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best automatic vacuum known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well, and it boosts suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's somewhat more expensive than some homeowners need.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel is a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the app's settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
