A pair of good headphones is a must for hadphone anyone with an iPhone. Wireless earbuds are now the norm for smartphones that do not have audio connectors.

Apple AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) have improved ANC, IPX4 ratings and intuitive touch controls. They are great for making calls and come with a case.

Multipoint isn't disabled by default, but you can enable it using the Headphones Connect App's System tab. There's a downside to this however: when you turn on multipoint, you'll lose ability to use the top-quality Bluetooth codec LDAC.

Like the WH-1000XM4s prior to it, the Sony WH-1000XM5's touch controls let you manage music playback as well as make calls. You can swipe forwards and backwards using the touchpad to skip tracks, or move backwards to play and pause. The right earcup has physical buttons for volume and power.

If you own an iPhone, you can customize the headphones by using Siri commands. You'll also have access to other features, such as a personal assistant and battery meter. Sony has also added voice prompts that will guide you through the various functions of the headphones. However, I found them to be a bit chatty for a lot of people.

The WH1000XM5s battery life is 30 hours when noise cancelling is on and the battery life is identical to previous generations. 40 hours when it's off is only one or two hours less than what competitors offer. The headphones also come with soft carrying case that shields them from scratches, dust, impact, and slight water damage.
