It did a good job of maneuvering around furniture and objects, but it had some trouble with stairs where it might accidentally hit bookcases.

Its dual motors offer impressive cleaning power. The dust bin is easy to remove and empty which is great as you'll have to do this on a regular basis.

It's easy to set up as well, but I do recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid before running it for the first time. You'll need to install the Eufy Home app and follow the instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network. The app will then help you draw a map of your house. Rooms can be named, divide large spaces into sub-rooms (good for open plan living) and direct the X8 Hybrid to specific areas that need cleaning at a specific time. Eufy's application is more user-friendly and refined than other robots with similar scanning and mapping capabilities.

A great feature on the X8 Hybrid is that you can activate the vacuum or mop with your voice, thanks to the integration with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. This is a nice addition that makes the robot more hands-free. It also is very effective in our test house.

The X8 Hybrid, like many robotic vacuums, has a few issues with bare flooring. It can miss pet hair and other small items, and it tends to bump into things - such as its own charger that sits on its base for charging. It's also not as quiet and the whirring noise can be distracting like other models.

Roborock V3S Pro

The robot doesn't come with as many features as the more expensive models we tested, however it does provide the essentials. It has a big dust bin that can hold a large amount of dirt before needing to be cleaned. The vacuum and mop system is ideal for carpets with hard floors as well as carpets with a low pile. It's also extremely quiet. We were able watch TV while it cleaned without feeling like we were overwhelmed by the sound.

Our test subjects were extremely impressed by how easy the machine was to use and set up. They also loved the ability to clean all the mess from their floors. It also did a good job at removing pet hair and messes from carpeting, though it wasn't as successful in tackling stubborn stuck-on staining. The app was easy to use and user-friendly. It's also quiet and has a large dust bin which can hold a lot before it has to be empty.

The V3S Pro did not make it into our top choices lists of trusted sources who test hands-on, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They appreciated the ease with which it was install and use, but they also noted that the battery life was very short and it was unable to avoid some of the most difficult problems we've encountered.
