1. Neato D7

The D7 is a top-of-the-line model in Neato's robotic vacuum line. It is extremely navigable and is controlled by Alexa or the app. The D7, unlike many robots who struggle to navigate without a map, uses advanced sensors and lasers to create an electronic map. You can set virtual "No Go" lines by clicking your finger. This means that the D7 will be able to avoid areas it should not go (without the requirement for barriers or towers).

The D7's cleaning capabilities are impressive. It can take up an average of 99.8 percent of Cheerios scattered on the floor This is slightly higher than Roomba's 94.6 percent and the Shark Ion R85's 100% percent. The D7 is also able to be able to move smoothly on both carpet and high-pile carpet.

A second feature is the option to select between two cleaning intensities. There's an Eco mode that runs the vacuum quietly and prolongs the run time, while Turbo mode offers the most powerful cleaning. The Turbo mode is a bit loud and can be irritating when you use the D7 to watch television or work.

The D7 is one of the few robots that are capable of creating and storing multiple floor plans. This is perfect for multi-level houses. It also has a fast boost function that lets it return to its base, recharge and then resume cleaning. This is particularly helpful when you're cleaning up difficult areas. Neato's mobile application is easy to use and updated regularly with new features. For the price, it is among the top robots for carpets with thick hair on the market.

2. Eufy RoboVac 11S

Similar to the Neato D7, the Eufy 11S is sleek and low-profile. It can be positioned under beds, couches, and coffee tables with greater ease than other robot vacuums can. It also comes with a few innovations that help it effectively clean and go where you want it go, like no-go lines that you could draw on its virtual maps to keep the robot from cleaning sensitive areas like pet bowls or beds. It also has an auto-recharge feature and resume that, if it is unable to recharge its battery before it has finished cleaning, it will automatically return to its base to recharge it, and return to where it was when it left.

In our tests, the RoboVac 11S performed much better than its predecessor, the eufy RoboVac 30C. It also did better than the ILIFE A4s and Bobsweep Bob Pro, and the ILIFE a4s. Its dirt compartment is larger and has a longer battery life, and it removes more debris from bare floors to low and high-pile carpet. It is also easier to maintain, incurs fewer recurring costs and has a better ability to move around.

This vacuum isn't the best robot vacuum for thick carpet and pet hair choice for floors that are not. However, it is a great choice for those who have medium carpeting and pets. It uses random navigation to get around the room and feels its way around obstacles with a combination of sensors housed in its front bumper and underbelly. This isn't as sophisticated as the mapping technology in other robots, but it works well enough and can get to nooks and crannies that other robots can't reach. It has spin brushes to clean walls, and a 0.6-liter dust bin. Although this isn't a very reliable system on carpet but it's still awe-inspiring for a device that's so cheap.

The iLife V3s Pro is also capable of mopping. It can do an OK job on floors that aren't clean and also took out fake Christmas tree needles as well as bits of tinsel and mud granules in my mopping tests. But it's not as efficient as the best robot mops.

4. Roborock S7

If you are looking for a robot vacuum that has impressive technological capabilities and impressive tech capabilities, the Roborock S7 is a great value. It performs as well as many high-end models and is simple to use and maintain. It also has a wide range of features that mimic the capabilities of robots with twice the price. It is a great choice for first-time buyers, those upgrading from an entry-level model, and for anyone looking to save time while cleaning.

This robot is as in its element on floor surfaces that it is on carpet. Its 2,000Pa suction power can handle heavy-duty carpeting. It can clean pet hair from crevices and cracks even on floors that are bare. It's well-built, maneuvers efficiently and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands to allow hands-free operation. The battery is smaller than other models we've tested, but it still has plenty of juice to power most homes.

The S7 is also a fantastic mopping robot. It comes with a 200ml water tank as well as a mopping plate that easily attaches to the back of the robot. Simply add water and a microfiber cloth, and the s7 will start mopping your floors. Once the mopping process is complete the s7 will return to its dock and stop automatically.

Its companion app is easy to use, and has an attractive layout and lots of functions. You can draw a home map, set virtual boundaries that the s7 cannot cross, set up 'no-go zones, or instruct it to clear a specific room. 5. Neato Q5 Pro

The Neato Q5 Pro is a versatile robot vacuum that excels on bare floors and clears up a significant amount of debris on carpets of both high and low pile. It is extremely built, has a comprehensive suite of navigation features and is easy to maintain. However, it has a lower capacity battery than other models and has higher recurring costs.

The Q5 is one of the slowest-moving robots we've tried, but it has an effective layout algorithm that doesn't require babysitting beyond its first trip through an area. It begins by tracing out the perimeter, and then fills in the interior using the lines of a series. When the task is completed it goes back to the charging station, if it was away from base.

It did a great job of cleaning hardwood floors, sucking at least 88% dirt from every test. It was more difficult to clean carpets with high and low pile however, it still performed better than the standard unit. It also comes with mopping attachments that can clean up wet spills. We didn't test it.

Its maneuverability, which is above average for a lidar robot is that it can bump into furniture or other obstacles with a gentle bump. Its navigation system is able to detect stairs and floors with multiple levels which is a great touch that allows it to effectively tackle homes with multiple stories. It also can identify specific rooms when you choose them within the app. It also allows you to adjust the power level, create no-go zones, and display an image of the area that is currently being cleaned.
