The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with an improved filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We like the statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the layout of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design.
