Bean to Cup Coffee Machines

Reservoir

Hot-Water Tube

It may seem simple for coffee makers to turn the cup of water into a carafe brimming with steaming hot java, but it's actually doing amazing work. It takes the water you put into the machine, and then it passes it through the tube attached to the hole at the bottom of the reservoir on one side and the aluminum heating element on the other.

When you switch on the machine, the heating element resistive starts to heat up, which causes the water in the aluminum tube to come to a boil. The bubbles formed by the boiling water rise through the opening in the bottom of reservoir and over the exit hose. The bubbles carry hot water up the tube until it reaches the coffee pot.

If your coffee maker makes strange noises, it could be that the one-way valve is malfunctioning. It is within the hole at the reservoir's bottom, or in the aluminum heating tub. Without this valve it would cause the boiling water to return to the reservoir instead of rising through the tube.

The hot water that is in the filter basket and then over the ground beans carry the flavor from the grounds with it as it drips across the sides of the container.
