The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the best solution for pets that shed fur. It can mop and vacuum, and even clean and dry its own mop pads.

It also has the most suction power of any robot we have examined, with 8000Pa. It also allows you to organize cleaning schedules and save your house's maps using its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs range of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This model is dry and wet. It comes with the upgraded AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. The system uses dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what you'll find in self-driving vehicles and is able to scan an area of up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, faster response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also features a rotating mopping pad made of chenille fabric. This makes it easier to scrub hard areas as opposed to traditional mop. In my tests the X2 Omni took just over a minute to clean its pad and get to work, and I noticed that it was more precise than the previous models, which seemed to follow a gridded route around rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and edges of my rooms as well as make "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station frequently to empty the dustbin and clean the mop using hot water before starting another task of cleaning.

The X2 Omni is just as simple to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. Simply snap the dock into place then plug it in and connect it to your WiFi network at home. It only takes a few minutes. Then, you're able to launch the app and begin with your first cleaning task. I was able customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating restricted areas for sweeping and mopping as well as rearranging the positioning of furniture on the wall and much more. The X2 Omni did a great job in my tests, achieving excellent scores in debris removal and pet hair cleaning and close to perfect results in cleaning crevices and edges.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The EcoVACS T10 Omni is an extremely powerful vacuum and mopping machine. It is the most advanced of the T-line of the brand and comes with the latest OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for superior cleaning over traditional oscillating scrubbers. It also has YIKO built-in, a unique natural language processing technology that lets it respond to a range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to plan your home, make cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The T10 Omni's biggest flaw is that it cannot switch between mopping and vacuuming in one run. The two modes require that you attach and take off the mop heads according to the need, which is fine for most homes, but isn't a good fit for people who have a busy schedule.

However, the Deebot Omni is an excellent robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our pet hair tests. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the debris we tossed at it on our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It also did an excellent job on carpet and tile, removing over 99% of dirt and dust.

This robot mop and vacuum has a large docking station that provides cool water cleaning for its mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a large reservoir of water that allows it to be washed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

The Deebot T10 features a wash tray built into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to rinse and dry the mop pads when it is using them. It doesn't have a tray that can be removed, which means that dust, dirt and other grime will gradually build up at the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

While Anker-owned Eufy is well known in the world of robot vacuums but this model is its first foray into the world of mopping. It has upgraded intelligence with multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts for the type of surface you're cleaning. It's a mid-range cleaner that's stylish, even if its claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning does not make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a regular robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular design with sweeping wheels and a raised area for sensors. However, flip it over, and you'll find an electric floor brush and one side sweeper brush which pushes dirt from the edges into the main path of the robot's mouth. It's a little smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba j7: Smart Mapping Vacuum Cleaner Roomba S9, which I found to be easier to fit under couches and chairs.

The mapping system is quite sophisticated that allows you to create no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting objects such as its charging station, and isn't very good in climbing over carpets. It was great at picking up pet hair from bare floors. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of cat litter.

While it's controllable via the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with a series of physical buttons on its base, which allow you to select the cleaning mode and turn the robot off and on. You can also use these to set no-go zones as well as see maps in real-time. It's also a bit chatty, and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or alert you when something isn't right.

4. ILIFE A4s

It is a bit pricey but if you're able to afford it, it's an excellent buy for those who wish to leave their home hands-free to go about other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to take on the most difficult spills or dirt. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a popular upstart brand is the cheapest robot we've ever tested and provides an exceptional value for the price. Its basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it's not equipped to map rooms. This makes it less efficient as other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode was very effective in our tests by picking up hairs and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ might not be as sturdy however, it's better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning low-pile carpet and floors that are not covered. It also utilizes intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve maneuverability. It also allows you to send it to a specific room, and its advanced suite of automation features includes no-go zones and scheduling. It allows you to pause and resume cleaning sessions, making it perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can hold up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It has a set of angled side brushes that can reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system to capture dust, allergens, and dander.

This 3-In-1 Smart Robot Vacuum Perfect For Pet Owners vacuum feels solid and well-constructed, and it comes with an app for smartphones that lets you change the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning sessions in advance. You can control it with your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices you can mark out areas by using physical boundary markers.

The iQ is great for cleaning floors that aren't clean and is able to do a decent job on carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However it doesn't provide the same level autonomy as our top selections. It's also expensive and its ongoing costs can add up over time.
