The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is dry and wet. It is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. It uses dual-laser LiDAR similar to the kind you'd find in self-driving cars -- and can scan up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This means more precise mapping as well as faster response time and better cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub hard spots unlike traditional mopping. This budget-friendly option from a well-known brand is the cheapest model we've tested to date and offers an outstanding value for cost. Its navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able reach under furniture and in corners, and its mopping mode performed well in our testing it picked up pet hair and other debris with ease.

Shark's iQ might not be as sturdy however it is superior in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles and bare floors. It also utilizes intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve maneuverability. It can be directed to a specific location, and comes with a range of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It also lets you to pause and resume cleaning sessions, so it's perfect for homes with pets.
