There is currently a nationwide shortage of medication to treat ADHD symptoms. This is due both to manufacturing issues and an increased global demand.

Our service offers private ADHD treatment instead of waiting for NHS funding via Right to Choose. Our assessment fees include the cost of a single prescription.

Titration

A highly experienced consultant psychiatrist will conduct a thorough assessment of your ADHD. This will include an examination of your medical history as well as an assessment using the standard ADHD rating scales and questionnaires.

After your assessment You will be advised that medication may be beneficial for your specific situation. This will be discussed during your follow-up appointment (which can be done in person by video link, in person or by phone). Your physician will explain to you the various options for medication and, if you decide to begin taking medication, we will offer to titrate the dose to maximize the benefits/side effects balance for you.

This process can take several weeks, and involves gradually adjusting your child’s medication until the appropriate balance has been achieved. It's not uncommon to have to titrate as high as three different medicines before you find the one that best fits your child's ADHD. Unless you have decided to return to NHS treatment, your medication will be issued with a private prescription which you'll have to pay for at the pharmacy (this is not included in your consultation fee). Follow-up appointments

However, in certain cases, it may be possible for an audio-only appointment to be scheduled (again at an additional cost).

At this point we will discuss any treatment options we have and decide on a custom-made ADHD medication titration program. This will include a discussion and review of your dosage of medication and any adverse effects you may be experiencing. The titration sessions cost PS150 for face-to-face sessions and PS60 by video or phone consultation. Medication costs are additional and are paid directly to the pharmacy.

The psychiatrist will also inquire with you about your family background and the impact your ADHD symptoms can have on your life, as well as any issues with relationships you may be facing or any other mental health problems that you may be suffering from. Medication

The medication process is an essential aspect of the treatment process for many people looking for an official ADHD diagnosis.
