The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space up to 32 feet by the 270-degree angle. This translates to more accurate mapping and faster response times and greater cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping mat made of chenille, making it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mops. During my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more precise than other models, which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and robot vacuum mops edges of my rooms as well as make "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station frequently to empty the trash bin and clean the mop with hot water prior to starting another clean-up job.

If you need a powerful combination of mopping and vacuuming, check out the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most sophisticated of the T-line offered by the company and comes with the new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brush for better cleaning than conventional scrubbing. It also has YIKO built-in, a first-of-its-kind natural language processing tech that allows it to respond to a wide range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you plan your home, make cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The main flaw of the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between vacuuming and mopping in a single run. Both modes require that you attach and remove the mop heads according to the need, which is fine for most homes but not a good fit for people who have a busy schedule.

The Deebot T10 is an excellent robot vacuum that produces impressive results. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris from our hardwood floors. This is a remarkable performance. It also did a fantastic job with tile and carpet and tile, getting rid of more than 99% of dirt and other debris.

The Deebot T10 features a wash tray that is built into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to rinse and dry the mop pads while it is using them. However, it doesn't come with a removable tray, which means that dirty water dust, dirt and other grime builds up in the bottom of the tray over time.

This is the first model of mopping from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner, even if it doesn't exactly live up to its promise of being an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with the sweeping wheels, as well as a raised sensor area. On the opposite side there's a motorized floorbrush as well as a single side brush that pushes dust from the edges into the main artery of its' mouth.' This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the most affordable we've tested and provides an outstanding value for the money. Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it's not equipped to map rooms. This is why it's less effective than the other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode was very effective in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

Shark's iQ may not be as sturdy, but it is better in removing pet hair from all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a fair job on low-pile carpet, and it makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It can be positioned to a particular area and has a suite of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It lets you suspend and restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes that have pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots from pet hair and other debris, and its bagless self-emptying dock station can store up to 30 days of dirt before it needs to be cleaned.
