The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do, to locate your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This Homekit Robot Vacuum can recognize your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the click of one button. You can choose a general clean, homekit robot vacuum which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating throughout your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay if want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can also clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum robot and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can place the L10s in the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.

Created to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's accented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel is an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can modify how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
