1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is the latest in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum-mop robots. This model that is dry and wet is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to that used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat constructed of chenille, which makes it much easier to scrub hard spots than traditional mop. During my testing the X2 Omni took just over a minute to clean its pad and get to work, and I noticed that it was more precise than previous models that seemed to follow a gridded path around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's by the corners and edges and also create a "Zambani pattern" up and down the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station on a regular basis to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop using hot water, before starting another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products The X2 Omni is a breeze to set up and begin using. It takes just a few minutes to put the dock in its place, plug it into and connect it to your home Wi-Fi network. Then, you can launch the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able to dig into the settings and modify my floor plan in less than 15 minutes, which included creating zones that are restricted for sweeping and mopping, reworking my wall-mounted furniture layouts, and much more. The X2 Omni was astonished during my tests, with excellent scores for the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as near-perfect results for edge and crevice cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you're looking for a strong combination of mopping and vacuuming, check out the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most advanced of the T-line from the brand and features the new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system that utilizes a dual-spinning brush for superior cleaning than conventional scrubbers. It also has YIKO, which is a natural language processing system that is a first of its kind. This allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to design your home, create cleaning schedules, and alter settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it can't switch from mopping to vacuuming in a single run. Both modes require that you attach and take off the mop heads as needed and is suitable for most homes, but isn't suitable for people who have a busy schedule.

However, the Deebot Omni is a superb robot vacuum that has impressive results in our pet hair tests. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris from our hardwood floors. This is a fantastic performance. It did an excellent job on tiles and carpets, removing the majority of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mops comes with a large docking system that allows for automatic cleaning with cool mop pads. It also has an auto-emptying 3L bag that's easy to replace and hot air drying for fast and simple maintenance. It also comes with a large tank of water that allows it to be rinsed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

Like other mopping machines, the Deebot T10 Omni features a wash tray in its base that rinses and dries its mop pads as it utilizes them. It does not have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will gradually build up on the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

While Anker's Eufy is well known in the world of robot vacuums, this model is its first venture into the realm of mopping. It has upgraded intelligence, multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts for the type of surface you're cleaning. It's a mid-range cleaner that's attractive even if the promise of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning does not be realized.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape, sweeping wheels and a raised area for sensors. On the opposite side you'll find a motorized floorbrush as well as one side brush that moves dust from the edges into the main path of its'mouth.' It's smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under couches and chairs.

Its mapping system is fairly sophisticated that allows you to create no-mop zones as well as specific cleaning zones. However, it has a tendency to get into things (including its own charging dock) and isn't always adept at climbing over rugs. It was capable of removing pet hair on floors that were not paved, though, and during our tests, it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of litter - a figure that is higher than any of the most powerful robots we've tested.

Although it can be controlled via the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base that let you select a cleaning mode, and turn the robot off and on. You can also use these to set no-go zones as well as see real-time maps. It's a little chatty, and will tell you what it's going to do next ("start cleaning") or even warn you that something's wrong (it doesn't have enough power to charge, for example).

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech vacuum model is able to pick up pet hair, kibble and other messes with remarkable efficiency. It also moves effortlessly around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, including two cleaning modes, an automatic docking station and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The device that is Wi-Fi-connected can be controlled via the Neato App where cleaning schedules are set and maintenance requirements are tracked. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large a mix of hard carpet and floors, but it requires some advance planning to avoid getting stuck by power cords, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our hardwood floor and kibble tests, this robot performed well and picked up everything from one grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in just one pass. It had a bit of difficulty transitioning to carpets, however, this vacuum cleaner is great for large rooms with flooring of all kinds and a variety of pets.

It is a bit pricey but if you're able to handle the cost it's a great purchase for those who want to be able to leave their homes hands-free to go about other tasks or take care of chores. The A4s Pro also offers a useful auto cleaning mode that increases suction power to deal with difficult spills and dirt, and visit the site includes a battery-powered ElectroWall that allows you to place boundaries where the robot is not allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly robot vacuum for dog hair from a renowned new brand is the cheapest we've ever tested and offers incredible value for the money. Its basic navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm and it's not able to map rooms. This is why it's less effective than other models in this list. It's still able get under furniture and into the corners. And its mopping mode performed well in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't quite as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with low pile, and it utilizes smart-pathing navigational technology to provide better maneuverability. It also lets you assign it to a specific room, and its sophisticated set of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It allows you to stop and resume cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris, and its bagless self-emptying dock station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before needing to be cleaned. It also comes with an assortment of angled side brushes that dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander, and allergens for a cleaner air.

The robot vacuum feels sturdy and well-built. It works with a smartphone app that lets you change its vacuum settings and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ, and send push notifications if it encounters any issues during a cleaning session. You can utilize your voice to control it with an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device, and if you don't have either devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary marker strips.

The iQ can do a decent job of cleaning flooring and doing a good job with shaggy and low-pile carpet, but it doesn't have the same degree of autonomy as our top picks. It's also costly, and its recurring expenses can add up over time.
