The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can recognize your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of robovacs, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the shark robot vacuum for pets and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping feature is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a problem for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones generate very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without interruption. It will gently hit a wall or Best Robot Vacuum and Mop furniture and then move away if it comes across one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first go. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can wish for. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set route.

The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are great but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

Created to look like a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and send it to its base station. The central control panel is a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
