The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as an area for dirt that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the push of a button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal, or opt for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will improve with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and set up virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot vacuum black friday that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only downside is that it does not have an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable price to pay if you want one of the best robot vacuum for large house robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move away whenever it comes across one.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is useful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test, picking up debris on both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you can wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the self emptying robot vacuum itself and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a variety of features that you don't often see on robots of this price. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel has the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the settings menu of the app where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently and avoid getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
