Lever/Pad

Lever pad handles are a kind of upvc door handle that have levers on both sides to operate the multipoint lock. Lever pad handles are available in various finishes and designs and can be used on a variety of materials, including UPVC doors, Aluminium doors & Timber Doors. They are sold in pairs for the outer and inner door, with screws and spindles included. They are available in both unhanded and handed versions to meet the needs of different users.

These locks can be used to replace an existing doors made of upvc. They are usually operated by lifting the levers, which throw out all of the multipoint locks before turning the key to close / unlock. They provide a bit more security than traditional lever door handles because locking can only be performed by the inside using a key.

They are not as secure as a cylinder bolt however they are a reasonable alternative to add security. The only downside is that they do not offer the same level of protection as a cylinder lock and so don't prevent external access to your home if the door is left open.

Usually, you can still get in by knocking on the door frame or letterbox, however this isn't the best option.

This is a well-known handle design for front doors. It comes with the benefit of preventing the door from being opened from outside without a key if the lock isn't deadlocked. This is achieved with the 'pad-shaped' handle that locks into the gap between the handle and lock case.

This type of handle is made for uPVC doors with multipoint locks that operate using split spindle technology. This kind of operation requires that the internal lever handle and external pad handle are both fitted to the same lock case. This can be a simple switch from the current uPVC handles, but it could also require a change to the lock case or a new set of handle furniture to allow this additional functionality.

These aluminium lever/movable pad door handles are suitable for uPVC doors and come with a maintenance free slide bearing, spring cassettes, and fixing lugs supplied. These handles have a cut-out for a euro-profile, and can be installed on many uPVC or wood doors.

The lever moveable pad is available in various designs to fit a broad variety of multipoint locks. They are designed to work with split spindle multipoint locks which have a 92mm cylinder and require a special split spindle set as supplied by the lock manufacturer.
