A good Robot vacuum for dog hair vacuum can make a big difference in keeping allergens such pet hair and dust under control. However, not all models are created to be the same.

Whether you're looking for a vacuum with pet-specific features or simply a good robot to enhance your existing cleaner, there are many options.

1. Eufy RoboVac Edge G30

The G30 Edge, the latest model in Eufy’s budget range of robotic vacuum cleaners is the most up-to-date model. The G30 Edge is a glossy black vacuum cleaner, with blue and rose gold accents. It looks like it's a smartphone. It's easier to use than previous models and includes features like BoostIQ which automatically increases suction to improve the cleaning of all surfaces. Smart navigation is used to avoid the repetition of the same areas that are common when using bounce-navigation.

It does a great job picking up pet hair, crumbs and dust on hard floors, but it is not as efficient as the top models in terms of getting rid of dust from carpet. In our tests the G30 Edge missed 74% of the dust on hard floors, robot vacuum for dog Hair and 26 percent on carpet which is a bit disappointing.

A feature that makes the G30 Edge stand out is its ability to map your home's layout using a digital map within the app. This allows it to keep track of the rooms it has cleaned, and to avoid returning to these rooms. This is a major frustration for robots that are more basic and require the traditional magnetic taps to mark no-go zones.

The G30 Edge also has other conveniences. It comes with an "Find My Robot" mode that emits loud music until it is found, and a directional keypad that allows you manually move the robot. It also comes with an auto return function that can send it back to its charging base if the battery is empty it is a vital safety feature.

2. Neato Botvac D-Shape

The Neato Botvac D-Shape is an impressively capable robot with a number of intelligent features. It can clean floors well and climb up high-pile carpets with ease. The app also offers advanced features such as boundary lines remote control access when the robot is operating and a myriad of other options.

This model is the newest in a long line of robots from Neato and has a distinctive "D" shape when seen from above. The design offers a number of advantages, including improved corner-cleaning and a bigger bin of dust than the majority of models. The D-shape lets the robot to reach under furniture better than robots that have a circular design.

The D-Shape will briefly pause before beginning a cleaning process to use spinning infrared to scan and assess the area. Then it will work in a grid, systematically moving from one area to the next until the entire floor is cleaned. This method of cleaning is more efficient and thorough than the random approach used by other companies.

The D-Shape's design permits it to have a massive 700ml dust bin, as opposed to 400-600ml for robots of similar price. This increased capacity means that you'll have to empty the bin less often, thereby saving your time and effort. The D-Shape also features a flat front side that can help it navigate around obstacles such as chairs and tables. In our tests the D-Shape was stuck under a four-legged stool and an electrical cord that was exposed however it was able to free itself each time.

3. Roomba I3+ EV

The Roomba i3+ EVO is a fantastic choice for pet owners. It does well on hard flooring and does an excellent job of cleaning up any the traces of cereal, rice and pet hair. It is a bit shaky on carpet but is still better than most robots in this price range. The Roomba EVO is also very good at moving between different flooring types. It doesn't get stuck on transitions like older generations. The dual multi-surface brushes flex and adapt to various flooring types. They also aren't able to tangle pet hair.

The i3+ EVO's obstacle-avoiding capability isn't as effective as some of the other robots we tested and it repeatedly ran into objects in our tests such as handbags shoes, and pet toys before continuing on its path. It also had trouble dealing with salt from kosher, coarse that it blew over and around rather than picking up.

The i3+ EVO comes with a host of features that make it worth the price over other Roomba models. It has an automatic emptying bin as well as advanced control through an app. You can schedule cleanings and create custom routines. You can also create zones that block the robot from entering certain areas. The smart scheduling system can suggest additional cleaning during high allergy times and depending on your routine. The system for navigation is not reliable and sometimes vacuums in erratic patterns such as diagonals or zigzags instead of parallel to walls.

4. Shark AI Self-Empty XL

With a detailed mapping technology, this intelligent robot is able to know your home better than you do. It also comes with dual brushes that adjust to different flooring types and prevent tangling, which makes it the perfect option for households with pets. The app can be used to control the robot or activate it with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. And the dock, dubbed Omni, automates the tasks of filling and cleaning the robot's water tank, emptying the debris bin, and charging and drying the mop pads.

It's a great value. The Shark AI Self-Empty XL offers numerous advanced features, including self-emptying bins and mapping which can hold a large amount of debris. We tested it in a home with a mix of unfinished flooring and carpeting with low pile and found it to move and clean exceptionally well, even getting into corners. The vacuum also does a good job of picking up pet hair from carpets, though it doesn't have the same level of power as our top selections.

However the Roborock S4 Max is better constructed, takes less time to recharge than the Shark and offers a wider range of scheduling and automation features, including support for no-go zones. We'd still recommend the Shark when you're looking to buy something cheaper, or if you prefer to use your mobile phone for control and monitoring rather than a dedicated remote.

5. Bissell SpinWave Dry and wet

It's hard to find a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping, but this one does just that. Its two-tank system powerfully vacuums or mop with the push of a button. In our tests, it was able to effortlessly switch between surfaces and was excellent at cleaning pet fur from carpets and hardwood floors. It also includes an edge-sweeping tool for removing cat hair from baseboards and walls.

This robot is a good option if you're looking for a robot that is affordable and comes with additional features. It maneuvered obstacles well in our tests and can be operated via an app or by speaking. It comes with a large trash bin to collect messes before they're full. The only downside is that it can take up to 166 minutes to complete its work however that's still much better than most other robots we've tested.

The most impressive feature of this robot is its front-facing camera that lets you check your home's cleanliness using a live map in the app. It's particularly helpful if you're trying to find an item that you're looking for or your children spill glitter from your Christmas decorations all over your floors. You can avoid lots of frustration by locating the missing item quickly. Furthermore, the fade-free lithium battery can run for up to 130 minutes on one charge.

6. Roomba 694

The Roomba 694 looks classy and delivers a thorough cleaning. It is very adept at moving itself and is able to move under furniture without getting stuck. It also had a difficult time removing table salt from a clean floor, with a lot of grains falling across the floor and beyond its reach.

It can be controlled via the iRobot HOME app, as well as voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant (via an external device, which is sold separately). It learns your cleaning habits and provides you with a personalized schedule.
