1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This model is equipped with Ecovacs' new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that provides improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. It uses dual-laser LiDAR -- similar to what you'd find in self-driving cars and is able to scan an area of up to 32 feet wide by 270 degrees. This translates to more precise mapping, faster response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille, which makes it much easier to scrub difficult areas than traditional mop. In my tests, the X2 Omni took just over an hour to clean its pad before getting to work, and I noticed it was much more accurate than the previous models, which seemed to follow a gridded route around rooms. The Deebot T10 is a fantastic robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It removed more than 96% of the debris from our hardwood floors. This is a remarkable performance. It also did a fantastic job on tile and carpet cleaning up more than 99% of dirt and other debris.

This robotic mop and vacuum comes with large docking stations which offers cool water auto-cleaning for its mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L disposable bag that's simple to replace, and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeping wheels, and an elevated sensor. However, flip it over you'll see a motorised floor brush plus a single side sweeper brush which pushes dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot's mouth. It's smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to fit under sofas and chairs.

Its mapping system is reasonably sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones as well as specific cleaning zones. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, which includes two cleaning modes as well as an automatic docking station and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be operated via the Neato App where cleaning schedules are set and maintenance requirements are monitored. The A4s Pro also offers a convenient auto-cleaning mode that automatically increases suction power to deal with tough spills and dirt and it is equipped with a battery-powered ElectroWall that lets you define boundaries where the robot is not allowed to be allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly model from a popular upstart brand is the cheapest model we've tested yet and offers an outstanding value for money. Its navigation system is basic and uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, which makes it less efficient than other models on this list. However, it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping mode worked very well in our testing it picked up pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with low pile and uses smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It can be directed to a specific area, and includes a variety of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It even lets you to pause and resume the cleaning process, so it's perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can carry up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It comes with of angled side brushes that can reach into corners, best robot vacuum and mop for dog hair as well as a multi-stage filter system that captures dust, dander and allergens.
