It communicates directly with your car's ECU (Engine Control Unit) through the data loop called CAN. It's completely silent because it does not utilize radio frequencies or key fobs. It isn't detected by diagnostics or any other hacking device. It also prevents the addition of the key to a new one or replacing the ECU to bypass the system since only the correct PIN code can allow the engine to start.
