The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option for those looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the push of a button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other industrial robot vacuum vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a problem for those who want to own one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves along.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden from view and washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something requires attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of convenience features you do not often find on robots in this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types, and it's one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are nice to have but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.

Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The center of the control panel is a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor, or industrial robot vacuum the quaker oats that are on carpet.
