The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as other models do to identify your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of the button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move away when it encounters one.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets and hardwood floors with the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has Self Emptying Robot Vacuum-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in height and self emptying robot vacuum depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of features that you don't often see on robots at this price. It can build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop and vacuum combo robot pads. These features are nice however they can place the L10s in the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

Created to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel includes a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open up the settings menu of the app where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
