The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve with future models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an advanced filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We think it's a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. If it encounters the wall or [empty] a furniture piece it gently bumps into it before moving along.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is good at alerting you when something is in need of attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is useful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum with mapping vacuum was also one of the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can need. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. 4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury, which might make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it to its base station. The control panel has a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences.
