The Eufy 11S robot vacuum is among the most affordable self-emptying Robot vacuum for pets vacuums on the market. It was able to efficiently remove dry oatmeal from hard floors and carpets with low pile in our tests. The dust bin opens and empty easily, making it more convenient to use than other models at its price range.

It is charged at its base and then begins cleaning when it's ready. But its obstacle-avoidance technology gets caught in socks and cords, and it's unable to operate under low thresholds.

1. iRobot 11S

The 11S is a cheaper self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner that a lot of users seem to enjoy. It is great at getting under furniture and is a great option for people with hard floors or for daily cleaning. Its suction may be less powerful than those of our top picks, however it gets the job done. It comes with a huge dust bin and a durable battery. The app allows you to schedule daily cleanings or pick a specific room. You can also mark your home to allow the device to avoid areas that you don't want it to visit.

The app is easy to use and has a simple layout. It's not a full-featured app however it's easy to use and lets you check the status of your robot. It also has an informative tutorial that can provide you with the basics.

Its cleaning pattern doesn't always appear logical - sometimes it follows straight lines, while other times, it is able to find the edges of a room - however Bounce Navigation ensures your entire floor is cleaned. It's not the best at navigating obstacles, however - it struggled to get under our piano pedals and pet food bowls, and got stuck in our 2.25-inch shag rug several times.

While it is a good option for light cleaning, we think there are better robot vacuums that are better than the 11S. The iRobot Roomba is easier to maintain and maintain, with lower recurring costs and is charged faster. It has a bigger bin, and performs better on any surface type and can scale low-lying obstacles (like electrical cables) more easily.

The eufy RoboVac11S is a different alternative for regular vacuuming. It shares a similar design to our top choice and is good at picking up smaller and fine dust from hard flooring. It also does a great job on medium- and low-pile carpet. Like the Roomba from iRobot Roomba, it has a huge dirt compartment and uses BoostIQ to automatically adjust suction power. It has an easy-to-use remote control and you can organize daily cleanings with the app. The battery can last for about an hour and the bin is easy to empty by taking it from its dock.

2. Roborock S7 maxV Ultra

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is an excellent robot vacuum and mop, with a wide range of features for automation. It comes in three options, the basic S7, the S7 MaxV Plus, and the S7 MaxV Ultra. The S7 MaxV Ultra is the only one equipped with an Empty Wash Fillet Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). These docks let the robot return to its home base after a cleaning session and empty the debris into a dust bag or reservoir, drain its dirty water tank, and wash its mopping pad.

Sensors on the S7 work in tandem to clean and self-emptying robot vacuum for pets eliminate obstacles. It can detect flooring types and save a map of rooms and zones, and even detect dirt levels. It's also capable of scheduling and carrying out spot-cleaning sessions. It did well in our standard tests, but it didn't quite match the iRobot Roomba j7+ in the carpet deep clean test.

With the companion app you can program the S7 to perform a cleaning cycle according to your schedule. You can select the cleaning mode that is automatic or eco, and the day, week, or time. You can also decide whether the robot will stop if it is running out of energy or encounters an obstacle.

You can still use the S7 even if you don't own a smartphone by connecting the charging dock to a remote control. The controls can be difficult at first but they're very efficient once you get used to them. The power button doubles as the general 'Clean' function and the "Spot Clean" button instructs the robot to clean a small area around itself. The 'Spot Clean' button also activates the child lock.

Roborock's mobile application has been upgraded to include a live-view function that allows you to see what the S7 does at home. You can enable this by pressing a particular sequence of buttons on the S7 and then creating an unlock pattern within the app to use any time you wish to check out what the robot is up to.

3. Shark IQ XL

Shark's robot vacuums aren't as a hit as those made by iRobot or Roborock. But our hands-on tests have shown that this model is among the most efficient self-emptying vacuums that are available. It's easy to set up and has an enormous bin which can be easily emptied (albeit loudly) into a trashcan once it is full. It can also be programmed to clean the whole house on a schedule.

The IQ XL is able to connect to your WiFi at home which allows you to keep track of its progress in cleaning using the Shark app. The app lets you program cleaning schedules, get notifications by push regarding its current status, pause and resume cleaning, or set it to a single room. It can also be controlled with voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The app will inform you which power mode it is currently in--Eco, Normal, or Max. However, we couldn't determine that any of the modes made a huge difference to the cleaning performance.

When it's finished cleaning after which the IQ XL automatically empty the dustbin into its base, which then automatically emptys. The bin can store up to 60 days of debris, so it won't be required to empty it more than once unless your pets have long hair. If you must empty it, all you have to do is detach the side bin, put it over a trash container and press a button to eject its contents.

There's nothing to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it feels a bit less sturdy than the Roomba 694. It's effective of cleaning carpeted floors however, it's not as effective as the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of the performance of bare floors. The i7 also feels more durable, is more robust and requires less maintenance. It also has lower recurring costs and charges faster, and offers comparable battery performance. It also comes with more advanced features for automation, like areas that are not accessible and the ability to select specific rooms to be cleaned.

4. iRobot J7+

This robot vac/mop combo is a rarity because it can do both tasks extremely well. iRobot Combo J7+ comes with all the features and smarts similar to its j7 counterpart including LiDAR maps and self-emptying. But it also offers additional features for mopping and vacuuming.

The new acoustic sensors help the j7+ identify flooring types, meaning it can choose between vacuuming and mopping when it first enters the room. It also uses this info to prioritize cleaning rooms with carpets and rug flooring over rooms with hard floors.

As with most robotic vacuums the j7+ is relatively quiet while it's running. It's quieter when mopping. The maximum reading of 64 decibels on our decibel meter is comparable to normal office chatter.

You can easily set up a cleaning schedule and change the way that dust is cleaned when the canister is full. The j7+ can be controlled by voice assistants, such as Alexa, Google Assistant and others. to make it hands-free. Additionally, the app allows you to create and explore maps of your home.

The j7+ did well in our tests of both carpeted and hard flooring, and was able to remove most of the dirt we threw at it. It isn't able to deal with pet hair, large particles and sand. However, it is able to clean them with a little more effort. It also has good navigation abilities and a pair of cliff sensors to stop it from falling down the stairs or stumbling on furniture legs.

We did find a couple of small niggles with the j7+, mostly that it can get caught on rugs and cords and that it doesn't always turn off its mopping when it's done vacuuming. This is a fantastic model that checks all the boxes.

iRobot's j7+ also is one of the best self-emptying systems that we've tested. It puts its 14oz 0.4-liter dust container into the base station, where it automatically emptys itself for you to. This reduces the amount of garbage you have to dispose of. You will only have to replace the dust disposal bag at the dock every 60 days, based on how frequently you use the j7+.
