The Eufy 11S robot vacuum with self emptying vacuum is among the most affordable self-emptying vacuums available on the market. In our tests it was able clean up dry oats on hard floors and carpets with low pile. Its dust bin is open and empty quickly, making it much easier to use than other models in the same price.

It recharges at its base and then cleans when it's at its best. But its obstacle-avoidance technology gets caught in socks and cords and it can't go under low thresholds.

1. iRobot Roomba 11S

The 11S is one the cheapest self-emptying robot vacuum and mop robots and lots of people seem to love it. It is a great choice for getting under furniture and is a great choice for those with hard floors or for daily cleaning. Its suction is a bit weaker than our top picks but it's still able to do the job. It also has a huge dirt bin and a battery that can last for more than an hour. The app allows you to schedule your daily cleaning or choose a specific room. You can also map your home to allow the device to stay clear of areas you don't wish it to visit.

The app is easy to use and has a clear layout. It doesn't come with any advanced features, but it's simple enough to use and allows you to monitor the status of your robot. It also has a tutorial which will guide you through the basics.

Bounce Navigation's cleaning pattern isn't always intuitive. Sometimes it follows straight lines and at other times, it concentrates on the edges of a space. However, it is able to clean your entire floor. It's not the greatest at climbing over obstacles, however - it was unable to climb over our piano pedals and pet food bowls, and ended up getting stuck in our 2.25-inch shag rug a few times.

We believe that there are better robot vacuums than the 11S. The iRobot Roomba 694 is better-built, easier to maintain, has lower recurring costs and takes less time to charge. It has a larger bin, performs better on any surface type and can climb over low-lying obstacles (like electrical cables) more easily.

The eufy RoboVac 11S makes an excellent choice for regular vacuuming. It has a very similar design to our top choice and is good in removing smaller and fine dust from hard floors. It also does a good job on low-pile and medium-pile carpet. It comes with a large dirt bin and utilizes BoostIQ for automatic suction power adjustment. It comes with a user-friendly remote control, and it is possible to schedule daily cleanings using the app. The battery lasts about an hour and the bin can be easily empty by removing it from its dock.

2. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is a great robot vacuum cleaner and mop with a surprising array of automation options. The Roborock S7 MaxV is available in three versions of the basic S7 model and the S7 Plus model, and the S7 Ultra. The S7 MaxV Ultra is the only one equipped with an Empty Wash Fillet Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). The S7's sensors work in tandem to avoid obstacles and clean the floors. It can recognize floor types and save a map of rooms and zones. It can even detect dirt levels. It's also capable of scheduling and executing spot cleaning sessions. It did well in our tests, but it wasn't able to quite match the iRobot Roomba j7+ during the carpet deep clean test.

You can program the S7 by using the companion app to run a cleaning routine in accordance with your schedule. You can choose an option for cleaning, such as automatic or eco, and a day, week, or time. You can also decide whether the robot will stop if its power runs out or in the event of an obstacle.

You can still use the S7 even if you don't own an Android phone by connecting a charging dock to a remote control. The controls on the remote can be a bit difficult to understand initially, but once you get the hang of them, they function well. The power button functions as a general 'Clean' button and the "Spot Clean" button instructs the robot to clean the area around it. The 'Spot Clean' button also triggers the child lock.

In addition to the new mapping features, Roborock improved its mobile app by adding a live view feature that lets you observe what the S7 is doing at home. Shark's robot vacuums aren't as popular than those from iRobot or Roborock. However, our tests on the ground have proven that this model is among the most effective self-emptying vacuums that are available. It's simple to set up and comes with a large bin which can be easily emptied (albeit loudly) into a trashcan once it's full. It can also be programmed to clean the whole house on a schedule.

The IQ XL is able to connect to your WiFi at home and allow you to track its progress on cleaning from the Shark app. The app lets you create a cleaning schedule and also receive push notifications on its current status in cleaning, pause it and then restart cleaning, or set it to clean only one area. It can also be controlled using voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The app can tell you what power mode it's currently in--Eco, Normal, or Max. We didn't discover that any of the modes had a significant impact to the cleaning performance.

After it has completed cleaning, the IQ XL automatically empties the dustbin into its base, and Bagless Self Emptying Robot Vacuum then automatically emptys itself. The bin can hold up to 60 days of debris, so you don't need to empty it more than once unless your pets have long hair. If you must empty it, all you need to do is remove the side bin, hold it over a trash can and press a button that will let you eject its contents.

There isn't much to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it is a little less robust than the Roomba 694. It does a good job in cleaning carpeted floors however, it's not as effective as the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of bare floor performance. The i7 also feels more robust, more durable, requires less maintenance, incurs lower recurring cost and charges faster, and offers comparable battery performance. It also has more advanced technology for automation, such as areas that are not accessible and the ability to select the rooms that should be cleaned.

iRobot j7+

This robot vac/mop combo is a rare beast, as it does both jobs very efficiently. iRobot's Combo j7+ has all the smarts of its j7 counterpart, including self-emptying and LiDAR mapping, however, it also comes with additional features for both vacuuming and mopping.

The j7+ utilizes the latest acoustic sensor technology to detect the type of floor which allows it to mop or vacuum the room on its first pass. This information is also used to determine the best cleaning options for rooms that have carpets and rugs versus those with hard flooring.

Like many robotic vacuums, the j7+ is quiet when it's running, and quieter when mopping. The maximum reading of 64 decibels on our decibel meter is comparable to general office chatter.

It is easy to set up an cleaning schedule and then change what happens when the dust canister is full. The j7+ can be controlled by voice assistants, such as Alexa, Google Assistant and other. The app allows you to create and view maps in your home.

The j7+ performed well in our tests on hard and carpeted floors, removing most of the dirt that we threw at it. It isn't able to deal with pet hair, large particles and sand. But it can remove them with a bit more effort. It also has decent navigation capabilities and a pair of cliff sensors that stop it from falling down stairs or getting stuck on furniture legs.

The j7+ has a few minor flaws, for instance, it can get caught on rugs or cords and does not always turn off the mopping feature when it's finished vacuuming. This is a fantastic model that ticks off all the boxes.

iRobot j7+ has also one of the best auto-emptying systems we've tried. It deposits its 14oz / 0.4-liter dust canister into the base station, where it will automatically empty itself for you to. This reduces the amount of garbage you have to throw away and you'll only need to replace the dust bag that is on the dock around every 60 days or so, based on how often you use the j7+.
