The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It comes with a variety of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of a button. You can choose the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and sucks large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it does not have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently bumps into it before moving on.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right like low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also create or combine rooms to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first go. It can also clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the entire bissell robot vacuum and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can manage it even when not at home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a specific path.

The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of features that you do not often find on robots at this price range. It can create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features but they also make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The center of the control panel is an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can alter how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor small test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
