The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do to locate your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of one button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your home is properly arranged.

This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only issue is that it does not have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves forward.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden from view and cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium narwal robot vacuum mop and vacuum with all the features you can need. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ecovacs robot vacuum Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, Narwal Robot Vacuum and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types, and it's one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great however they can push the L10s into the premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and Narwal Robot vacuum avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel includes the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
