The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the click of the button. You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your home is completely cleaned.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and Lefant robot vacuum corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think this is a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers to ensure that the onson robot vacuum is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a major issue if you want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently hit a wall or furniture and then move away when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong like low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you could need. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire cheap robot vacuum and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when away from home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features you don't often see on robots at this price. It can make detailed floor maps and detect various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are useful, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner need.

It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel has the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the lefant robot vacuum vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
