The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up it can begin automated cleaning with a single button. You can choose a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is that it lacks a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes across a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving forward.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something requires attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or robot vacuum and mop a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your house or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could wish for. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor system that recognizes obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best robot vacuum deals known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality robot vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of features that you don't often see on robots in this price. It can create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.

Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
