The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the push of one button. You can select the general clean option which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire Home Robot Vacuum is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is that it does not have a second rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong like low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's some items that need to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes the mop and vacuum combo robot pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has faster battery charging and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does an excellent job. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you do not often find on robots at this price range. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are useful, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than what some homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and home Robot vacuum furniture while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's one button that is a switch for on and off. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The control panel has a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop efficiently and avoid getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
