Window Sash Repairs

Window sashes must be inspected regularly for signs of mold, mildew, and damage. You can reduce future repair costs by catching problems early before they become out of control.

The sash is the internal framing that moves vertically either up or down in windows that are open. This article will show you how to perform simple repairs to sash.

Weather Stripping

Wood window sashes provide an elegant look to your home. If properly maintained, they can last for many years. However, they may become damaged or degrade in time because of exposure to the elements and normal wear and wear and tear. Sash Hardware

The hardware that supports window sashes is susceptible to wear and tear from time and usage and the result could be a window or door that isn't able to open or close easily. The good thing is that fixing and replacing this hardware is generally quite simple and inexpensive. In order to make these sash repairs it is essential to have all the necessary tools in place before you begin. Sash Weights

Sash weights can be replaced to improve the performance of your window sash and reduce the cost of energy. They function as counterbalances, which allows you to open and close the window without requiring mechanical or electrical devices.
