OriginalLine is the Nespresso's most popular line that utilizes hermetically sealed pods. These machines are the most affordable and produce espresso and coffee. The VertuoLine uses newer techniques and specifications to provide more performance than the OriginalLine. They have a wider range of sizes for brews, including 0.85 ounces of ristretto, 1.35 ounces of double espresso, 5.8 ounces of lungo and 14 ounces of Alto XL. They also offer a faster process called centrifusion which rotates the pod at 7,000 RPM, which allows more water to flow through for better extraction.

Alongside improving the technology, VertuoLine has also increased the number of capsules that are reusable and has introduced an environmentally friendly packaging system. They utilize 80% recycled aluminium for their capsules for coffee, and are committed to increasing that percentage in future products.

The Lattissima Pro coffee machine is one of the most efficient nespresso machine available. It has a rapid heat-up time, and an LCD screen that allows you to customize settings. It is equipped with an effective steaming device to create a café-like foam and milk. It may not be as compact as other nespresso models, but it's easy to clean and comes with a removable capsule container.

2. Vertuoline

The Vertuoline series is a more recent addition to the Nespresso lineup. It is the only machine to make both coffee and espresso. It also comes with an integrated milk frother. This is an excellent choice for people who drink various black drinks but don't want the hassle of preparing the drinks separately.

Vertuoline machines have an entirely different pod system from the OriginalLine line. The pods are marked with barcodes which the machines are able to scan to determine the size of the beverage (ristretto or cappuccino) and then add the proper amount of water. This eliminates the need for a separate container of milk and makes it simpler to make the perfect espresso or coffee.

In terms of quality In terms of quality, the Vertuoline machines produce a crema that's more like the thick foam you'll find in a traditional coffee shop as opposed to the lighter Crema found in the OriginalLine machines. However, the OriginalLine coffeee machines still provide the best compact coffee machine taste since they produce 19 bars of pressure to better extract flavor from the espresso grounds.

The newer VertuoLine machine employs a process known as Centrifusion, which spins the capsules more quickly and equally than the Original Line machine. This speeds up water infusion and improves the quality of the beverage. It also allows Vertuoline machines to operate at less heat which decreases extraction time and increases the strength of espresso.

3. Original

This entry-level Original machine is an attractive alternative for those who don't have plenty of space or money to invest in a bigger machine. It has smaller tanks and capsule container, yet can handle 19 bar of pressure. This is more than enough to produce the espressos and coffees most people buy Nespresso for.

It has a minimalist, black design, and the top-facing button is used to control all functions, from powering on to the rinsing process and making. This is a common feature of Nespresso machines and makes them easy to understand and operate.

Another plus of this model is that it can be used with milk, and comes with a jug that can be used to make drinks that have foam added. The machine also comes with 11 different milk temperature settings for customizing the texture of your coffee or latte, and it can make both short and long cappuccinos and lattes.

The model has buttons that are labeled, making it easy to select beverages. The base of the holder for capsules includes raised squares that control the amount of pressure applied to each pod to produce the desired size. This allows you to regulate the amount of pressure that is applied to each pod, and also helps determine when the machine needs to descale. The machine can be used with capsules from other brands, like Dualit's Nespresso compatible capsules.

4. Creatista

If you're seeking an Nespresso machine that can make espresso and milk-based drinks it's the model for you. It's the most recent version of Nespresso's Creatista line and is manufactured by Breville (known as Sage in Europe). Sage, Heston Blumenthal’s company manufactures the machine, while Breville developed the thermocoil heating system.

The Creatista's steaming and frothing function is the most exciting. Set your milk pitcher in front of the temperature sensor located below the wand and the machine will take care of the rest. It has 11 settings that allow you to modify the texture of your milk. You can also manually freeze your milk if prefer the traditional method.

The Creatista's fast heat-up time is another amazing feature. It can reach temperature in 3 seconds, which is more efficient than other Nespresso machines. The machine's design is sleek and attractive, with a brushed stainless steel body that is stunning on any countertop. The high-resolution screen makes it simple to navigate the machine for setting up, preparing food, and maintaining it. The machine comes in four colors: black truffle (pictured) sea salt (pictured), damson blue (pictured), and stainless steel. The Creatista measures 6.7 x 15 12 inches (WxDxH). It's the smallest Nespresso machine from the OriginalLine, which means it will fit perfectly on any counter.

5. CitiZ

This sleek espresso maker from Nespresso is smaller in counter space than other models. It comes with a foldable tray that can fit larger glasses and mugs to prepare recipes. This is an excellent feature for small kitchens and makes it easier to use with larger recipes. It's also easy to re-create popular cafe dishes thanks to the extraction system that has 19 bars and fast heat-up time.

The CitiZ Basic doesn't include a milk frother. You can buy one on its own or as part of the CitiZ&Milk Bundle. This option includes the Aeroccino steamer so you can make creamy cappuccinos and lattes. This model can be used with capsules that are reusable however, they aren't included.

It comes with a large water tank of 1 liter as well as a container for used capsules that can accommodate nine to eleven capsules. Unlike the Pixie model, it doesn't automatically eject used capsules after brewing; you need to raise and lower the holder in order to get them out.

The machine is simple to use and the sleek design makes it easy to clean. It is compatible with OriginalLine and third-party Nespresso Pods (doesn't work with VertuoLine, Starbucks by Nespresso or Starbucks by Nespresso).

This model differs from the earlier Lattissima Touch because it has nine drink presets and only two are non-milk based drinks. It does not have the option of choosing the milk texture you prefer for a particular recipe however, you can do that on the Lattissima Pro.

This model comes with a recyclable washable milk container. It is not necessary to worry about purchasing fresh milk or purchasing an additional appliance to go with the machine. The container is easy to clean and can be empty into the sink in a matter of seconds.

Another excellent characteristic of the Gran Lattissima is its energy-saving function and speedy heat-up. It can be heated up in only 25 seconds and comes with a large reservoir of 44 oz. The drip tray and smeg lavazza Coffee machine froth container can be easily removed to clean. It's also easy to keep the machine in top shape with regular cleaning and descaling cycles.
