It is robust, has lower maintenance requirements, incurs lower costs for recurring expenses, is faster to charge, and offers comparable battery performance, and comes with much more advanced automation features like no-go zones and the ability to choose specific rooms to keep clean.

This robot mop/vac combo is a rare find, as it does both jobs extremely efficiently. iRobot Combo j7+ has all the smarts and features of its j7 equivalent, including LiDAR maps and self-emptying. It also comes with additional features for vacuuming and mopping.

The j7+ uses the latest acoustic sensor technology to identify the floor type, so that it can mop or vacuum the room during its initial pass. It also utilizes this information to prioritize cleaning rooms with carpet and rug flooring over rooms with hard floors.

As with most robotic vacuums the j7+ is relatively quiet when it's running, and quieter when mopping. The highest reading we could get on our decibel meter was 64db which is comparable to the noise of general office chatter.
