There are room-specific mopping and cleaning options along with a planner for scheduling and power strength selections for vacuuming and mopping. You can also integrate the S7 Max Ultra with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to create a smart home. The S7 Max Ultra's vast features allow it to accomplish everything a standard robot can do and more, but for a fraction of the cost.

The S7 Max Ultra vacuuming is amazing. It did a great job at removing pet fur, dirt and other debris on hard and carpet floors. The automatic dustbin emptying feature was flawless in our tests. This was comforting. It also boasts 5100 Pa HyperForce power which is significantly greater than the 2,500Pa of S6MaxV and S7.

The S7 Max Ultra's mopping capability was good too, although not the most efficient we've seen. It utilized the special microfiber mop pad that absorbs liquids and uses sonic vibration technology to scrub your floors up to 3000 times per minute, which was a little quicker than the X1 Omni's circular pads that rotate at 180 revolutions per minute. The S7 Max Ultra's ReactiveAI 2.0 obstruction recognition system is very good. In our tests, it did not get stuck on anything, and it avoided curtains, power cords and other obstacles 100% of the time.

2. Narwal Freo

It is an activity that is hated by many, yet it is vital to keep your home spotless. It's messy, and often smelly job that is difficult to complete because it involves dustbins, dirty water and the necessity to ensure that debris or hair doesn't clog the traps or brushes. In our tests we observed the T9+ to be very adept at navigating around obstacles. When the Combo j7+ senses that it's on a surface that needs to be cleaned, a little robot arm equipped with a mop pad lifts up from beneath the vacuum. It then sweeps the floor until it detects that mopping pads are dry, which takes around 90 seconds.

The Combo J7+ can sense carpeting, too. This is great for homes that have a mix of hard flooring and carpets. It won't try to push the rug through it, but instead will pull away if the device feels it is not able to traverse the space without damaging the carpet or itself.

I was able to control the Combo J7+ using the mobile app, which is very user-friendly and well-designed. It also works with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and you can instruct it to begin cleaning with a voice. The only issue was the small water tank on the Combo J7+, which means you must refill it regularly or limit its cleaning to smaller areas and run it more frequently in eco-mode.

The Combo j7+ has an extremely small dust bin that you have to empty manually. I also discovered that the Combo j7+'s mop pads to be less efficient than other brands, which is a shame because it's an otherwise excellent combination robot.
