The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.

Roomba s9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of a button. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and carpet with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price cost.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is even better - its spinning pads clean your floors better than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow for deeper cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay for if you want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move away when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong like a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, robot Vacuum for Hardwood floors plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can control it even when you're away from home. It also comes with more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set route.

The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum for hardwood floors vacuum and mop that comes with a variety of features that you do not often find on robots in this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice however they can make the L10s more of a luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to help you map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum with docking station vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hardwood floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
