The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, mopping thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button click. You can select a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your home to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models and can pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash to the hidden bin and washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something requires attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your abode. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleaned out regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first pass. It can also remove wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also comes with an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features you don't often see on robots of this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
