Bose's noise cancelling technology will help block out ambient sounds and the rumble of aeroplane engines. It also produces a range premium wireless headphones.

The new Bose Sport Earbuds Truly Wireless are slimmer and more sleek than the QuietComfort buds, with a better microphone for calls. They're also sweat-resistant and come with a charging case.

Active Noise Cancellation

The Bose QuietComfort line is known for its excellent noise cancellation but the company also produces a variety of premium headphones and earbuds which don't require or provide it. The products typically have the premium end of the market and use premium materials, but they're also light and sweat-proof, making them comfortable to last for long listening sessions.

The flagship 700s is a great example. They come with an upgraded eight-microphone (six to cancel out sounds, and two to pick a voice) and eleven custom ANC modes. You can listen to the world around you, or block the world completely. They also come with a "Conversation Mode", which allows you to temporarily stop the music in order to announce a message or make a call.

Bose TruSleeve is another excellent feature. It's a removable cover that wraps around your neck and rests on top of your ear to reduce noise while you are out and out and about. It is available for all QuietComfort products and can be customized with the app to fit your lifestyle and ears.

The headphones can be connected to your mobile device with Bluetooth 4.2, and Bose’s proprietary A2DP protocol. The headphones come with a cable that has a 3.5mm plug at the other end, which is suitable for wired listening. They also have an ANC button that is located on the left earcup. You can adjust the ANC to three levels through the app and also turn on hear-through modes to help with ambient sounds.

They're lightweight for headphones that are designed to be used for long periods of time. They come with soft cushions that feel comfortable on the ears. Sound is bright and dynamic, with solid bass that is well-controlled. The treble might not be as crisp as top-rated rivals like the Sony WH1000XM4 and Jabra Elite85H, but it's powerful enough to be suitable for most music genres.

They also have an excellent microphone for hands-free calling and a voice assistant which does a good job of separating your speech from background noise when you answer questions. The Bose Connect and Bose Music apps also let you adjust the audio settings as well as alter the EQ. The Bose voice, which tells you about battery status and whether you're connected, is slightly robotic compared to the more natural voices of the Sony and Jabra models.

Comfort

Bose headphones are comfortable, whether they're on or over-ear. The company's headphones are usually luxuriously padded and don't feel tight on the head, and they feature a an extremely balanced sound profile that allows them to be used with most genres. If you're looking to alter the sound, you'll find that a lot of Bose headphones come with a companion application that has an EQ graphic that can help you adjust your music.

The Bose QuietComfort 45 wireless over-ear headphones are one of the most comfortable headphones we've tried, with a comfortable and soft headband as well as plush earpads. The headphones are lightweight and sweat-proof, making them comfortable to wear for long durations of time. In our tests, the Bose Qc45s have a remarkable noise cancellation, and great audio quality. The sound is clear and detailed with clear mids and crisp highs. The Bose Sport Earbuds have a slimmer, more elegant design than the QuietComfort Earbuds that are the company's most popular product. They are ideal for working out and running. They offer an up to five-hour battery time, Headphone Makes which is sufficient to last through most workout sessions. The buds are waterproof and come with built-in microphones that allow for voice assistant integration. You can control the buds with the remote included or with the companion app. You can use the app to alter the settings for ANC and Bose's Aware Mode.

Controls

The 700s don't have physical controls on the earcups unlike most of Bose's headphones. Instead there's an electronic touch panel on the front half of the right ear cup that can detect swipes and taps. Tap twice to play/pause, swipe upwards or down to change the volume and forward to skip tracks. A single tap can answer calls, while double taps reject an incoming call.

The headset lets you toggle the "aware" mode which allows for some permeability of your surroundings. This feature is beneficial for those who must be aware of the surroundings while listening music or making calls.

A motion detector shuts off your headphones after inactivity. It's a great feature for those who forget to switch off their headphones or are easily distracted when using the headphones. The Bose Connect App allows you to alter the Auto-Off feature on your Bose headphones.

The app lets you alter the features of your headphones, including the audio settings, noise canceling earphone (Learn Even more Here) cancellation levels, and voice prompt languages. This is also where you can get updates for your Bose headphones. The app might require you to share personal information but it's normal. It's also where you can set your Bluetooth connectivity preferences, and also features a an excellent battery reading feature that will let you know how much charge is left in your headphones. Design

Bose has a reputation for comfortable headphones, and most of their models do an excellent job at keeping the listener's ears from noise. Their sound is well-balanced and flexible enough to be utilized across genres. The headphones are lightweight and durable making them an excellent choice for trips.

A big part of what makes Bose headphones so well-known is their noise cancellation. The NCH700s feature 10 levels of noise cancellation which is impressive even when you are at maximum. Unlike some of their competitors, Bose headphones tend to have a minimalist design, with only a handful of buttons on the headband. Bose's headphones are ideal for use on the go as the majority of over and on-ear models providing ample padding to ensure a snug fit. They're also extremely lightweight and compact making them an excellent choice for travel. Bose's wireless headphones don't block out as much sound as some of their competitors.
