This makes it an excellent choice for those who want to be hands-off when it comes to cleaning but are looking for the peace of head that comes with knowing their home is regularly free of allergens and germs.

The s9+ has improved corner cleaning capabilities, allowing it to get closer to walls and is better in cleaning up spots. The application will return to an area when it senses it needs extra attention. If the area is extremely dirty, the s9 returns to it using a stronger suction until the entire mess is gone.

You can operate the s9+ via the app that comes with it or by using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant (the s9+ supports both) It allows you complete voice commands, including the ability to begin, stop, and pause. You can also set a specific time for the robot to start and stop its work or you can let it decide when it's time to return to its dock.

The s9+ is great for carpets that are not bare. It can easily remove small debris such as rice, and larger objects like cereal. The Shark IQ Robot XL is an excellent mid-range robot vacuum that has powerful suction and ample smart features. It comes with a self-emptying bagless base, and maps your home while it cleans to ensure complete coverage. You can control it with the SharkClean app or via voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. It also comes with physical boundary markers that you can use to restrict its access to specific areas.

It's basic, all-black design and feel. It requires very little assembly from the box, requiring only a couple of snaps to connect the side brushes included and the charging dock. The dirt compartment is a bit small, however, so you'll need to empty it fairly often.

In tests in tests, the IQ Robot XL quickly responded to app controls and performed well during cleaning cycles. The app lets you choose power modes, alter settings, and check the battery level of the robot while it's in use. The app also features an Find Robot button that helps you locate the device if it gets lost.

The IQ Robot XL, like other Shark products, has a powerful suction that can easily handle dust bunnies and dog hair.
