The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do to identify your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the charging base. The robot also learns your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of a button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your space to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to hug furniture and walls. The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its rotating mop pads that scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of convenience features you don't often see on robots in this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice however they can make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station.
