The X2 Omni is the latest in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuums and mops. This model that is dry and wet comes with the upgraded AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR that is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space that is up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. This translates to more accurate mapping as well as faster response time and greater cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat constructed of chenille, making it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mops. This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides exceptional value for the money. Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it's not able to map rooms. This is why it's less effective than the other models on this list. However, it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature performed well in our testing it picked up pet hair and other debris with ease.

Shark's iQ isn't as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It cleans floors that are bare more efficiently and does a decent job on carpets with low pile and also makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It can be directed to a specific area, and includes a variety of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It lets you stop and restart cleaning sessions, making it perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots and holds up to 30 day's worth of dirt.
