Then, take a measurement of the spindle that protrudes from the underside of your handle. You can order an replacement or take it to a shop selling hardware for a replacement. Then, take the setscrew from the operator shaft. Smooth it down to allow the set screw to lock onto the shaft. Now your uPVC window should shut smoothly.

Broken Hinges
