The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up you can begin the automated cleaning with a single button click. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and carpet with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a problem if you want to own one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, i robot vacuum was amazed by its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move on if it comes across one.

What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something needs attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpet and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for Cheaper reuse. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris, making it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that can be used even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing a thorough job. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features you do not often find on robots of this price. It can make precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can place the L10s in the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.

It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
