The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as cheaper models do, to locate your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated wirecutter robot vacuum vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the click of the button. You can choose the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do and can clean up pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We like the claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. Its mopping system is better - its spinning pads clean your floors better than the vibrating pads.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable price to pay if you want one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, good I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move on whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, so you can use it even if you're not home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of convenience features you aren't likely to find on robots in this price. It is able to create detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are great, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury, which might make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror good plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the house. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The central control panel includes a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well, removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
