The Eufy 11S robotic vacuum self emptying vacuum is among the most affordable self-emptying vacuums available that are available. In our tests it was able to pick up dry oats on hard floors as well as low pile carpeting. Its dustbin opens and empties easily, making it easier to use than other models in its price.

The eufy RoboVac 11S makes an excellent choice for everyday vacuuming. It has a very similar design to our top pick and is good at picking up fine dust and larger debris from hard floors. It also does a decent job on low-pile and medium-pile carpet. It has a large dirt container and uses BoostIQ for automatic suction power adjustment. It also has a remote control that's easy to operate and allows you to program daily cleaning routines with the app. Its battery lasts for about an hour and the dustbin is able to be emptied without removing it from the dock.

2. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra

The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra is an excellent robot vacuum and mop with a wide range of automation features. It is available in three models including the standard S7, the S7 MaxV Plus and the S7 MaxV Ultra. The S7 MaxV Ultra is the only model equipped with an Empty Wash Fillet Dock (or an alternate Auto-Empty Dock). These docks allow the robot to return to its original location and empty the debris it has collected into a dust bag or reservoir, empty the dirty water tank and wash its mopping pads.

Sensors on the S7 work together to clean and eliminate obstacles. It can detect floor types and save a map of rooms and zones. It can even detect dirt levels. It's also capable of scheduling and running spot cleaning sessions. It performed well in the standard tests, but did not perform as well as the Roomba j7+ for the carpet deep cleaning test.

You can program the S7 with the companion app to run a cleaning routine in accordance with your schedule. You can specify a time day, week, or even a day and select from several cleaning modes, like automatic, eco, and deep clean. You can also choose whether the robot will stop if its power runs out or if it encounters an obstruction.

If you don't have an iPhone, you can still use the S7 by connecting a remote to the dock that charges it. The controls on the remote are a little confusing however once you've mastered the use of them, they function well. The power button doubles as the general 'Clean' function and the "Spot Clean" button directs the robot to clean a small area around itself. The "Spot Clean" button also activates the child lock.

After it has completed cleaning after which the IQ XL automatically empty the dustbin into its base, and it self-empties. The bin can hold up to 60 days worth of debris, so it won't need emptying more often than that, unless you have several pets with hair that is long. If you do need to empty it, you can simply take the side container off and place it over your trash can and press the button.

There's nothing to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it is a little less robust than the Roomba 694. It's good in cleaning carpeted floors however, it isn't as efficient as the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of bare floor performance. The i7 also feels more sturdy, is more durable and requires less maintenance. It incurs lower recurring cost and charges faster and has similar battery performance. It also has more advanced automation features, such as no-go areas and the ability select specific rooms to be cleaned.

iRobot j7+

This robot vac/mop combo is a rarity as it does both jobs exceptionally efficiently. IRobot's Combo J7+ comes with all the advantages of its j7-based counterpart, including LiDAR mapping and self-emptying, but also includes additional features for both mopping and vacuuming.

The new acoustic sensors aid the j7+ to identify floor types, so it can decide between vacuuming and mopping on the first pass through the room. This information is also used to prioritize cleaning rooms with carpets and carpets versus rooms with hard flooring.

It also has decent navigation abilities and a pair of cliff sensors that prevent it from plunging down the stairs or stumbling on furniture legs.

The J7+ has a few small flaws, namely that it could get caught on cords or rugs and it doesn't always turn off the mopping function when it is done vacuuming. In all other respects, it's an excellent model that checks all the right boxes.

iRobot J7+ is one of the top auto-emptying systems we've ever examined. It drops its 14oz/0.4-liter dust canister in the base station, and it automatically empties for you. This reduces the amount of garbage you must get rid of. You'll only need to replace the dust disposal bag at the dock once every 60 days, based on how often you use the j7+.
