Lamborghini Enters the World of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)

After a series of social media posts hinting at it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. It's called Space Key and developed in collaboration with an undisclosed artist, it is inspired by a piece advanced carbon fiber composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station for research purposes.

The new project, dubbed the Space key lamborghini aventador - is a piece of art that was created in collaboration with an unidentified artist. The one-of-a-kind NFT is a physical object which connects to a unique digital artwork accessible through a QR code that is located on the back. The project is limited and will be auctioned off in the next few weeks.

The Space Key is made from carbon fiber composite materials that Lamborghini smuggled to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of research project. Once it returned to earth, the carbon fiber was transformed into this unique artwork. The physical piece is imprinted with an NFT serial number that is linked to the corresponding digital artwork by using a QR code on the back.

NFTs, for those who aren't familiar are unique identifiers which are recorded on a distributed ledger of the blockchain and linked to an digital asset, such as a photo, video, song or other recording. This allows owners to ensure the authenticity, scarcity, and trackability of their tokens over the internet.

Lamborghini is taking this unique approach to art to a new level by working with NFT PRO - an white label NFT solution for business. In the coming months, Lamborghini will announce information about this exciting project. This includes the name of the artists unknown to them as well as a timeline for auction.

The physical element of Space Key

The digital artwork

After weeks of social media posts that hinted at it, luxury car maker Lamborghini finally announced its first project for tokens that are non-fungible (NFT). The project was developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm), the "collector's item" is limited to five units and will soon be auctioned off.

At the heart of each Space Key is a block made of the most advanced carbon fire composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program. After returning to Earth, the block was engraved using a QR codes that connect to the digital component in the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times when the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. Each of the five images was taken by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner employed an inflatable camera equipped with lenses to capture the individual images, which were then combined into the final photo. The result is a picture that is completely out of the world. It captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic picture of a car rising away from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned soon, but there is no specific date or time yet.

The auction

With the tagline 'to the moon', luxury automobile manufacturer Lamborghini has entered the world of non-fungible tokens (NFT) by launching a hypnotic project in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm). The auctions, which begin between February 1 through February 4, fobs last for 75 hours and 50 minutes - the same time it took Apollo 11 to leave Earth and enter the lunar orbit. By signing up online, you will be able to bid on five NFTs. Each NFT will be offered separately and the winner will be awarded an artwork created by renowned photographer Fabian Oefner that captures five different moments that the Space Key experienced during its journey through space.
