Eufy RoboVac Hybrid X8

The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid vacuum and mopping machine is an excellent choice for those living in a multi-floored home. Rooms can be named and divide large spaces into smaller rooms (good for open-plan living) and guide the X8 Hybrid to specific areas that need cleaning at a specific time. There are many other robots that have similar mapping and scanning functions, but Eufy's application is more refined and intuitive than others.

The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can turn on the vacuum cleaner or mop by voice thanks to the integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a great feature that makes the Robot vacuum for hardwood floors hands-free. It was a success in our test home.

The X8 Hybrid, like many robotic vacuums has some issues with bare flooring. It may miss pet hair and small items, and it tends to bump into things - such as its own charger at the base for charging. It is also not as quiet, and the whirring sound can be distracting as with other models.

Roborock V3S Pro

This robot doesn't have as many features as some of the more expensive models we've tested, but it does cover the basics. It has a large dust bin that can hold a large amount of dirt prior to needing to be empty. The mop and vacuum system is ideal for carpets with hard floors as well as carpets with low pile. It's also very quiet, and robot vacuum for hardwood floors we could watch TV while it was cleaning without feeling like it was bombarding us with the sound.

Our testers were impressed by how simple it was to install and use, and they were impressed with its ability to take all the messes off their flooring. It did a good job getting rid of pet hair, messes, and carpeting however, it had a harder time removing stubborn stains. The app was simple to use and intuitive. The V3S Pro did not make it onto our top choice lists of trusted sources who test hands-on, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. The V3S Pro was easy to use and set up, however the battery life was a bit short.
