1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This model that is dry and wet is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system is dual-laser LiDAR which is similar to what is used in self-driving cars and is able to scan up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This translates to more precise mapping, faster response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat made of chenille. This makes it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than traditional mopping. During my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more precise than other models which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able navigate corners and edges of my rooms and also make "Zambani patterns" up and down the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station frequently to empty the dustbin and clean the mop using hot water before starting another cleaning job.

Like other Ecovacs products, the X2 Omni is simple to set up and start using. Snap the dock into position, plug it in and pair it with your home WiFi network. It only takes about a minute. You can then open the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able dive into the settings and personalize my floor plan within about 15 minutes, which included creating restricted areas for mopping and sweeping, reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and so on. The X2 Omni performed admirably during my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal as well as debris removal, and also was near-perfect in its results for crevices and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The most significant issue with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch from mopping to vacuuming in one run. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach mop heads to and from the vacuum depending on your requirements. This is great for the majority of households, but not so for people who have a busy schedule.

The Deebot T10 is a fantastic robot vacuum that produces impressive results. It vacuumed up more than 96% of the particles we threw at it on our hardwood floors which is an impressive performance. It did an excellent job on carpets and tiles cleaning up 99% of dirt.

This robotic mop and vacuum has an enormous docking station that provides cool water cleaning for the mop pads, and Vacuum Mop auto-emptying into a 3L disposable bag that's simple to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows frequent washing and drying between mopping runs.

Like many other mopping robots, the Deebot T10 Omni has a wash tray in its base that cleans and dries its mop pads as it utilizes them. But it doesn't use a removable tray, which means that dirty water dust, dirt and other grime slowly builds up in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

While Anker's Eufy is well known in the robot vacuum space, this model is its first venture into the realm of mopping. It has improved smarts, multiple map support, and LIDAR scanning, as well as twin-turbine suction technology that adapts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range robot vacuum cleaner although it can't quite deliver on its promise to be an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a traditional robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape, sweeping wheels and an elevated area for sensors. On the opposite side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush and a single side brush that pushes dust from the edges to the main artery of its' mouth.' Its mapping system is reasonably sophisticated that allows you to create no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. However, it has a tendency to get into things (including its charging dock) and isn't always great in negotiating carpets. It did a good job of picking up pet hair on floors that were not paved, though, and in our tests, it picked up 89.5% of kitty litter - a figure that puts it ahead of all but the most powerful robots we've examined.

Although it's controlled through the app and the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with a series of physical buttons on its base that allow you to choose a cleaning mode and turn the robot on/off. You can also use these to set no-go zones as well as see real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty, and will let you know what it's planning to do next (start cleaning) or notify you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech model sucks up pet hair, kibble and other debris with top-notch efficiency and maneuvers flawlessly around furniture legs. It had a bit of trouble transitioning to rugs, however, this vacuum cleaner is ideal for large spaces with flooring of all kinds and a variety of pets.

It's a bit expensive however, if you are able to handle the cost it's an excellent buy for those who wish to be able to leave their homes free to do other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning feature that increases suction to take on the most difficult spills or dirt. It also includes a battery-powered ElectroWall to set boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly option from a popular upstart brand is the most affordable robot we've tested yet and offers an incredible value for price. Its navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm, and it's not able to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than other models in this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode performed very well in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not appear as sturdy however it is superior at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It gets rid of floors with less thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with low pile and also makes use of smart-pathing navigational technology for superior maneuverability. It also lets you assign it to a specific area, and its advanced suite of automation features includes no-go zones as well as scheduling. It lets you suspend and resume cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes with pets.
