Easy to install

It must be removed before the new cover can be fitted.

After removing the cover After removing the cover, you can use a flathead to pry the four main attachment clips off the passenger side of fob assembly. These are marked with red in the image below. Note the yellow locating tabs that have to be disconnected.

After taking the battery off, replace it with a brand new CR2032 3 volt coin cell battery. The "+" side of the battery should be facing the opening on the fob, and the "side that is "-" side should face the buttons made of rubber.

Re-attach the passenger side mirror cover by aligning the tabs that locate it. After you have completed this, put the fob for the driver side back in your vehicle and test it by pressing the button on the front of the car key. If everything is working properly your car will turn on the parking lights and the doors will automatically lock.

The BCM will then be in a position to read the transponder on the key fob and confirm that it's a valid.
