The Roomba 980 is still one of the most efficient robots on our list, despite these minor limitations. It's also not as expensive as top-of-the-line models. It has many of the features you would expect from a flagship model, but it doesn't have all the fancy apps or home integration that you'll get from other top contenders.

The iRobot Roomba is simple to set up and start working immediately. After taking off the pull tab for the battery and the yellow bin insert from the undercarriage, all that you need to connect it to its Home Base docking station or an outlet on the wall, press its large "Clean" button, and let it go to work. It will return to its dock when its battery is out or it's full of debris, and it also has indicator lights on the top of the device to indicate that its bin is full or it needs to be recharged or if its Wi-Fi signal is lost.
