The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include a self cleaning robot vacuum-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with an effortless cleaning experience.

You can choose a general clean which focuses on the elimination of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that your home is completely cleaned.

This vacuum works well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior as its spinning pads clean your floors more effectively than a vibrating pad.

The only issue is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is also bigger than those on many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or cleaner watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and move on whenever it comes across one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and washes and dry the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is not right, such as a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also combine or create rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out frequently, like toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can even remove wet spills however I would recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, so you can manage it even when away from home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are nice to have, they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than the average homeowner need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel is a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
